As you may know, Navarik is moving its SaaS applications to the cloud in 2024. As part of this migration, Navarik will be moving its UAT environment (www.uat.navarik.net) to the cloud on April 30th, 2024.
We also plan to move your Production environment to the cloud before the end of 2024 and will be providing details on this as we get closer to the time. This notice only concerns the UAT migration.
The migration of UAT poses negligible risk to your operations. However, there is a small chance that there may be an impact to your UAT testing. Therefore, please review the information sheet below and feel free to contact support@navarik.com with any questions you may have.
WHY?
We have chosen to make this update for several reasons, but the driving force is to modernize our infrastructure and bring you, our customers, new capabilities from our software. Upon successful completion of this project, we will bring you:
- Improved application speed, responsiveness, and performance.
- Potential for geographic data residency.
- Faster and more frequent software releases.
- Improved telemetry (logs, metrics etc.).
IMPACT
In preparation of the move, our team has done extensive research and testing and does not expect any impact to your UAT, or other Navarik environments, because of this change.
- There will be no change to how you log in to UAT.
- There will be no change to the URL you use to log in or connect to UAT.
- All integrations will continue to work as they do today.
- Your data in UAT will be migrated to the cloud as it is on April 30th.
- Production services will not be affected by this change.
However, there is a small risk that your test data may be affected by the move. For example, if we need to switch the UAT environment back to our current hardware, your test data in the cloud may not migrate back. Due to this, we ask you to please read and act on the action items below.
ACTION ITEMS
- Please ensure that all testing in the Navarik UAT environment is completed prior to April 30th, 2024.
- UAT Testing can be resumed on May 1st, 2024.
- Please report any unexpected issues in UAT, discovered after May 1st, 2024, to Navarik Support at support@navarik.com.
